something to think about. don't ever treat your loved ones, your friends or anyone like a second choice. cherish the people around you, who loves you for the way you are.
The Forgotten One
i once saw a girl,
she was laughing and smiling to a joke that i couldn't comprehend
she was always saying yes to everyone
she was always making sure that everyone is happy
although some of the words that i heard were harsh and rude
she kept smiling like it hasn't affected her in any way
she was always trying to live up to everyone's expectation
and not even once, i heard her sigh or screamed
the smile plastered on her face was incomprehensible
but her eyes gave her away
as the pair contained sorrow and grief
no one noticed
that behind her smile
she was actually crying
behind her laughter
she was actually bleeding
behind her jokes and sarcasm
she was actually broken inside
she saw me and gave me a nod
for she knows that i know how it felt like to be treated that way
to be treated like a toy
played when bored forgotten when occupied
as i stare at my own reflection
she gave me a nod and plastered a smile
and let the world believe that her and I
are still smiling
although dead inside. "
